Η
Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος ενημερώνει τους πολίτες για
την αποστολή επικίνδυνων μηνυμάτων ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου σε μεγάλο
αριθμό Ελλήνων χρηστών του διαδικτύου . Οι
δράστες με τα μηνύματα αυτά ενημερώνουν τους παραλήπτες ότι έχει
επιλεγεί το e-mail τους από παγκόσμια κλήρωση γνωστής εταιρείας
πληροφορικής και έχουν κερδίσει μεγάλο χρηματικό ποσό. Ακολούθως ζητούν
από τα θύματα να τους γνωστοποιήσουν διάφορα ευαίσθητα προσωπικά
στοιχεία και στη συνέχεια την καταβολή χρηματικού ποσού για να τους
αποσταλεί το ποσό που δήθεν έχουν κερδίσει . Η Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος της Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας, ενημερώνει τους χρήστες του διαδικτύου, ότι ...
Ειδικότερα, τα
ανωτέρω μηνύματα ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου ενημερώνουν τους παραλήπτες
ότι το ηλεκτρονικό τους ταχυδρομείο (email) έχει επιλεγεί από παγκόσμια
κλήρωση γνωστής εταιρείας πληροφορικής και ότι έχουν κερδίσει μεγάλο
χρηματικό ποσό.
Στη συνέχεια, εφόσον ο
παραλήπτης ανταποκριθεί, του ζητούν ευαίσθητες προσωπικές πληροφορίες,
όπως ονοματεπώνυμο, διεύθυνση κατοικίας, αριθμό τηλεφώνου, τραπεζικού
λογαριασμού, φωτοτυπία ταυτότητας κ.ά. Μετά τη λήψη των ανωτέρω
πληροφοριών ενημερώνουν τον παραλήπτη ότι, για να του αποσταλεί το ποσό
θα πρέπει να προκαταβάλλει ένα χρηματικό ποσό, μικρής συνήθως αξίας, για
την κάλυψη απαραίτητων εξόδων όπως φόροι, έξοδα αποστολής κ.ά.
Επισημαίνεται ότι τα
μηνύματα αυτά χρήζουν μεγάλης προσοχής, καθότι σε πολλές περιπτώσεις,
προκειμένου να πείσουν τους παραλήπτες, χρησιμοποιούν το λογότυπο της
εταιρείας, ονοματεπώνυμα υπαλλήλων της, διευθύνσεις ηλεκτρονικού
ταχυδρομείου με την επωνυμία της κ.λπ. και παρουσιάζονται εξαιρετικά
αληθοφανή.
Τέλος, γίνεται μνεία
ότι έχουν παρουσιαστεί περιστατικά με αποστολή παρόμοιων μηνυμάτων
ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου, τα οποία φέρονται να προέρχονται, ψευδώς, και
από άλλες συναφείς εταιρείες.
Καλούνται οι χρήστες
που λαμβάνουν τέτοια μηνύματα ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου να μην απαντούν
και να μην στέλνουν προσωπικά δεδομένα και χρήματα καθότι σε καμία
περίπτωση δεν είναι αληθινά.
